Because of constant growth within the company, our client is currently looking for a Logistics Analyst to join their team. Role and Responsibilities Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role is specifically focused on being responsible for ensuring that the customer schedules are met in full and dispatched in a timely manner. The role will hold the following principal responsibilities; · Down loading of customer demand from Customers – 100% on time delivery to all customers · Work towards departmental targets · Receive and process customer schedules/orders, resolve scheduling queries, update systems and create reports. · Raise customer delivery paperwork · Monitoring of customer packaging · Help logistics Manager to achievement departmental financial targets: stock turns, premium freight etc · Provide comprehensive efficient logistic support to all areas of the business · Provide business solutions resultant from customer model year upgrades and changes to the supply base · Fully conversant with materials planning and master Bills of Material · Assist with projects as directed on an as required basis · Uphold the standards of TS16949 · Improve stock record accuracy · Support program management providing cost details for business quotes · Manage customer requirements on daily basis, both scheduled and emergency, ensuring maximum delivery performance at minimum cost. · Liaison with OEM customers ensuring all delivery requirements are met. · Analyse& communicate customer schedules to various departments. · Update of customer delivery tracking system (Excel) · Liaise with the third party transport companies. Hours of work · 7.45am to 4.15pm Mon – Thu. · 7.45am to 12.45pm Friday · Out of Hours cover (by phone) Qualifications and Education Requirements · Good IT skills, excel essential · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. · Experience of working in a customer facing environment · Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles (advantageous) · Experience of working in a fast paced logistics role · Understanding of manufacturing and Just In Time philosophies · The successful applicant must have a professional approach towards customer (internal and external) at all times.
