Our prestigious, Cambridge based client has opportunities for Senior and Principal Electronics Engineers. The Semiconductor team brings together a team of world-class experts and are looking for talented and experienced electronics engineers keen to get their hands dirty making real products for clients. You'll need to be the sort of person who is willing to turn their hand to a lot of different tasks, and enjoys constantly learning new things. The ideal candidate will have an excellent degree in Electronic, Information, or General Engineering with a strong electronics bias, and be able to show evidence of a rigorous approach to solving real-world problems. The work involves developing cutting-edge products, using a variety of new technologies, so a lead electronics engineer capable of working with multi-disciplinary teams is essential. Tasks performed are diverse, fast-paced and challenging, and may involve systems engineering, embedded or desktop software, PCB design or digital electronics. Main Responsibilities: Work as part of the technical team on client assignments in multi-disciplinary project teams, sometimes on more than one project concurrently and in different roles, both technical and managerial. Work on the design of technical systems for a wide range of products. This will include many opportunities to develop technical design skills for implementing analogue and digital hardware, information engineering, embedded software, and whole product design. You will be responsible for leading the electronics design of multi-disciplinary projects, within the time-scales and budgets agreed with your project managers. Qualifications, Experience & Skills: A good degree in electrical, electronic or information engineering Embedded software implementation experience Electronics design, (digital, analogue or power) experience PCB design and implementation experience A strong grasp of how physics applies in real world situations An imaginative and inquisitive mind Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining complex technical concepts Desired Experience: Embedded Linux or RTOS Information theory Writing programs in Python, C or C++ Signal processing or algorithm design Digital design (FPGA or ASIC) Provided technical leadership of small teams Experience in multi-disciplinary projects This job was originally posted as
