Marie Curie eBay Manager c£18,000 per annum free parking and other benefits 35 hours per week Based in Swindon We are seeking an eBay Manager to join our Marie Curie online retail team to work 35 hours per week (including some weekends on a rota basis). You will manage a team responsible for selling Marie Curie donated stock online to maximise income for the charity and to achieve sales targets, ensuring that all financial reporting and management, cash handling, banking and security procedures are followed. Online sales are an important source of income for Marie Curie and you will be responsible for recruiting, managing and developing your team, comprising an Assistant eBay Manager and a team of eBay Assistants and Marie Curie volunteers as well as delivering against our performance targets. The eBay team is required to deliver an end to end service from processing donated stock and listing it on our online sales platforms, to dispatching goods. You will respond to customer enquiries both by telephone and online and process orders in a speedy and efficient manner. You must be highly organised, have a good understanding of online retailing and be used to working to targets, ensuring new stock is speedily promoted online to maximise income and minimise costs to the charity. You will oversee the management of charity posts and listings on the internet, by cataloguing and describing items and taking and uploading images. You must have previous experience of online retailing in a commercial environment and be able to write effective online adverts, accurately describing goods and able to accurately value stock for sale. Attention to detail, strong IT and customer service skills, together with a keen interest in online retailing, is essential. Using best charity retail and online retailing practices, you will also need creative flair and be able to lead by example.
