We’re now looking for an Assistant Technical Coordinator to join our team in Sheffield who will assist with the Waste Treatment Division’s Commercial Team to carry out technical assessments of enquiries, preparation of transport documentation and the collation of data for invoicing. You will need a degree in Chemistry / minimum HND Chemistry or related subjects and confidence in using MS Office. Hazardous waste treatment or chemical industry experience would also be beneficial for this role. Your key responsibilities as our Assistant Technical Coordinator will include: • Ensuring technical control of activities through the sales inquiry process • Interpreting waste data to determine composition and identifying the safe handling and disposal requirements • Negotiating waste disposal prices • Undertaking assessments of waste received onsite and on client sites • Ensuring accurate and timely production of invoicing and similar data • Assisting in the management of company vehicles carrying out waste collection • Managing activities to include movement of waste, costs, budgeting and compliance • Maintaining flexible working arrangements, maximising operational efficiencies • Maintaining up to date awareness of planning consents and environmental permits • Assisting local site managers with compliance procedures, regulations and environmental requirements We’re looking for an Assistant Technical Coordinator who has: • Excellent problem solving skills • The ability to use their initiative • A confident and collaborative approach to team work • The ability to prioritise, organise and manage their own workload • A flexible attitude towards their role About FCC Environment: FCC Environment’s core business centres on collection, resource recovery and renewable energy providing services for local authorities and commercial customers.
