Their office is based in Reading but this position will involve travel across the UK. The successful candidate will join them on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a highly competitive salary plus a 7% Pension Health Care Package. About the Technical Team Lead (Performance) Role As a Performance Technical Test Team Lead, you will consult to their top tier client base, covering all areas of the testing lifecycle in multiple industries. This role involves planning, scripting and executing performance tests using a variety of tools both on your own and within a team. You will be given the tools you need to advance your skills and experience, while developing a rewarding career as well as adding true value to your clients. What you'll be doing as their Technical Team Lead (Performance): - Develop and implement risk based performance testing for their clients - Deliver information to project stakeholders in a format they can understand - Deliver information to the technical team in a format they can understand - Setup application and system monitoring to identify performance bottlenecks - Adhere to their high standard of delivery even in tight deadlines - Mentor and coach your team members and review their code and documents - Solve complex technical problems - Ask for help when you need it What they’re looking for in their Technical Team Lead (Performance) - You are passionate about performance - You are the best performance tester you know - You understand the difference between client side and server side performance - You can pick up new tools and techniques quickly - You can teach junior members of staff in the best practice - You can learn new tricks from junior members of staff - You don't do things the wrong way just because that's how it's always been done - You don't just send the report generated by your performance test tool - You don't just record and replay - You source control your test assets - You can write good quality code - You are proud of the scripts you write - You don't need a template to write a fantastic document About Them They are a highly social and close-knit team and they are known throughout the group for their forward thinking initiatives.
