All our operations feature a mix of food and beverage brands tailored specifically for each location, covering quick service, coffee and bakery brands, casual dining bars and restaurants and retail. The Role Due to increased business demand we are looking for an additional Assistant Manager within our popular 'Burger King' operation at Belfast International Airport. As an Assistant Manager in one of the biggest brands in the UK and indeed the world we offer great benefits and opportunities to grow and the chance to take your career to a whole new level within SSP. You will be responsible for every aspect affecting the P&L, whilst upholding the outstanding levels of customer service and operational standards for which Burger King is internationally renowned. Working within the airport environment will challenge your management skills in a different way to the high street and give great opportunities to develop your experience, dealing with the peaks and troughs in business and how that affects your rotas, stock management and all the other cost controls involved. You'll be managing, motivating and developing your team, ensuring compliance with brand standards, legal and statutory requirements, reviewing sales and performance against KPI's and holding team meetings to communicate objectives and targets. Ultimately supporting the Manager in all aspects of the operation. The Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to have: previous experience of managing a diverse team of people in a similar high-volume, fast-paced, quick service restaurant or catering environment. Knowledge of the standards and structured processes required to work within a globally recognised brand and experience of achieving successful audit results. An awareness and previous experience of the financial controls required when running a unit - driving sales, controlling costs and P&L reviews. Demonstrable experience in coaching and developing your team to deliver against financial and operational targets. Customer focused approach and effective communication skills at all levels Life at the airport is 24/7 so flexibility to work varying shifts, including earlies, lates and weekends, should be considered when applying.
