Qualified Engineer / Mechanical Technician / Pressure Systems & vessels – Tonbridge, Kent Up to £34k basic (experience dependent) car/car allowance excellent benefits package Our Client is a leading global Professional Services Organisation now looking to recruit a qualified Engineer with working knowledge of repairing & maintaining Pressure Systems including Condensers, Gas container systems, Turbines, Cooling & Heating systems etc to service a client portfolio in the Tonbridge, Kent area (ideally the right candidate should be residing within a 30min drive of Tonbridge itself). Reporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibility will be to carry out high quality inspections of the above types of equipment whilst maintaining optimal levels of client service and delivery. Paying up to £34,000 basic salary (experience dependent) car or car allowance (your choice), an excellent benefits package and a stable career, this is surely an opportunity worth exploring The core responsibilities within this qualified Engineer’s remit include; Test, inspect, check & certify Pressure systems (Boilers, all Gas container systems, Turbines, Cooling & Heating systems etc with operating pressures of 60 bars ) to ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements (PSSR). Produce comprehensive inspection reports within daily timescales and to service standards. Liaise regularly with Regional Planning to ensure work schedules are completed on a daily basis, promptly communicating any alteration in schedule to relevant party. Build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met. Maintain an awareness of developments in standards and legislation affecting the Engineer Surveyor’s engineering discipline, and support change as required. Identify any possible business opportunities and advise all appropriate business areas. Ideally, as a qualified Engineer with Pressure systems maintenance & repair experience, you should possess the following skills and attributes; Proven experience and sound technical knowledge of the relevant engineering discipline/s. Min NVQ3 or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline. 3-5yrs experience maintaining & repairing all types of Pressure systems/vessels and adhering to stringent regulations and inspection processes and procedures Good knowledge of PSSR / H&S regulatory requirements. Hold a current UK driving License with no endorsements in the last 6 months. Understanding of market/industry trends, developments and changes in legislation. Strong background in client service and delivery. Accurate and timely reporting experience, database updating and Microsoft Office usage. Excellent verbal & written communication skills, full, clean UK driving License.
