Hours of work: 36.25 (9am – 5.15pm) Mon - Fri Length of Contract: 12 months fixed term to cover maternity leave Main Duties and Responsibilities • Provide advice and support to Managers and Directors on employment relations issues taking into account the needs of the business whilst maintaining the appropriate balance of legal risk, people impact and cost. • Write new and update existing policies – publish policies to staff • Provide advice to seniors on the management of policies • Lead on and manage recruitment, from writing job descriptions, screening CV’s, conducting telephone interviews, writing the minutes during the face to face interview to managing the induction stage, employer references, liaise with external agencies and manage exit interviews. • Manage and report on staff absence • Manage Flexible working requests • Offer advice and guidance on maternity/paternity leave • Manage Grievances • Manage Disciplinary hearings • Compile and generate reports such as salary bench-marking, proposals, and sickness absence • Training –manage/liaise with external training providers • Ability to move easily from minor HR queries to discussions with senior Directors • Manage the company’s Health and Well-being Programme • Update and manage annual leave for managers Person Specification Must be educated to degree level or equivalent Substantial experience working within HR Ability to work under pressure Experience of Microsoft Office programs Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and plan your work independently. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative. Ability to project a professional image of Ardent Credit Services Must be bright, dynamic, and have a positive can-do attitude Excellent attention to detail and customer services skills CIPD qualified or equivalent experience is an advantage This job was originally posted as
