We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Support Technician to join our IT team based in Bradford. The successful applicant will work within the Client Infrastructure services team providing technical support for all internal end user software, hardware and connectivity. The IT Support Technician Role: You will be expected to be a self-starter who will hit the ground running to enhance an already successful, highly functional team. The Client infrastructure Technician will be supporting 2000 End users so top communication skills will be vital as is a can do attitude and the ability to diagnose issues, identify a fix and own the issue through to resolution. There will also be a large element of collaboration between this team, the technical service desk and the server infrastructure teams meaning your day to day role will consist of a good mix of general support and project work. The primary objective for the position is to deliver an excellent customer experience, whilst minimising down time to our internal customer base. We Are Looking For: Experience providing both hands on and remote support for desktops, laptops and other IT hardware including builds, installation, troubleshooting and configuration Knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Microsoft office suite including Office365 End User account administration (account creation, password resets etc) Understanding of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DHCP and DNS) At least one year of Desktop Support experience in a large corporate environment Excellent problem solving skills with driven, pro-active, can do attitude Strong communication skills with the ability to discuss technical solutions using basic explanation Ability to work on own initiative, address and resolve problems in a busy environment A passion for customer service with an active interest in IT Desirable Skills and experience: Awareness of broad based server technology Understanding of VoIP Phone System technologies Knowledge of mobile device management Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) Along with a competitive salary, we offer: > 33 days holiday > Generous pension scheme > Death in service benefit > Discounted childcare vouchers > Discounted private healthcare > Discounts with 1,000 retailers > Free onsite parking We are a great team of people, a great place to work and offer all the benefits you’d expect from the world leader at what we do.
