IT Procurement Manager – Warwickshire Up to 650 aday – 6months contract This Large Multinational organisation has a well respect awarding winning procurement function and they are in the process of constructing a brand new data centre as a result they are looking for more support within the procurement function. At this time they are looking for a new IT Procurement manager on a 6 months contract (this will extend to 12 months possibly longer…) The role is to develop and lead the Procurement requirement, analysis and negotiations associated all IS-related components (i.e. internal fit-out) of new Data Centre facilities. Predominantly to ensure the company secures value for its investment in the Data Centres, especially the network and infrastructural components. You will have a minimum of five years' experience at a senior level within Procurement. Proven knowledge and experience of IT systems and Services as they relate to date Centres. You will be an excellent communicator, have strong negotiating and analytical skills and possess a quantifiable record of achievement. Track record of delivering technically complex programmes, recognising interdependencies, overcoming technical challenges and managing suppliers. Adept at team working but assuming responsibility for delivery within a wider Programme of technical activity. - Good Communications skills. Good written skills. Capable of independent working, self-motivated with excellent organisational ability. - Strong analytical and investigative skills -Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills -Strong decision making and problem solving skills - Team player in a multi-disciplined team - Ability to negotiate, including planning and executing session Knowledge of the IS Telecoms and Infrastructure, to include: • Knowledge of both strategic sourcing and call-off processes • Effective negotiation skills • Proficient in stakeholder management and communications • Ability to define and measure benefits • An understanding of the market / supplier dynamics and how to leverage that knowledge Other capabilities will include: • Project management skills • Skilled at developing and working with and through multi-disciplinary teams • Requires ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding ability to make decisions or recommendations on incomplete information • Commercial models applicable to this category • Technical understanding of appropriate technologies and services to include but not limited to: Wide Area Network / Local Area Network SCADA and associated telemetry services Security – firewall, DMZ interface management NO Direct Report.
