Global Advisory firm with focus on FS seeks polished, ambitious and mathematically minded Consultant with SQL skills to join investigative team. This role would allow you to join the Consulting elite. You would be put on site with industry leaders within Financial Services, taking part in some of the most interesting, high stakes work on the market. Joining a global team of experienced and dedicated structured data experts, with offices in key business hubs around the world, delivering strategic business solutions for clients requiring in-depth analytics on large, disparate sets of financial, operational and transactional data, you are in the position to launch a career within a truly unique team. You will be making use of the latest analytical and visualisation technology to gain greater insight and intelligence from corporate structured data. You will be required to apply your knowledge in developing diverse solutions to numerous clients in distressed situations. The areas of investigation include litigation, regulatory investigation, compliance, and accounting and fraud issues among many others. PRIMARY DUTIES: Identifying, acquiring, synthesising, mining and analysing relevant data Identifying the relationships among multiple data sources and organising this information to facilitate effective data analysis Designing and implementing complex financial database models to generate meaningful observations and resolve disputes Analysing and interpreting historical financial, operational and transactional data REQUIRED: Graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a subject that involves computer programming, technology or data analytics Strong knowledge of SQL, Java and Python Knowledge of database objects and data manipulation (T-SQL and PL/SQL) Ability to perform in demanding, deadline-driven situations Strong analytical skills Ability to be a team player and interact with client personnel Willingness to research, analyse and develop new skills Flexibility with respect to assigned engagements and tasks due to changing deadlines, deliverables and priorities Awareness of accounting, finance and information system terminology Excellent communication (written and spoken), interpersonal and organisational skills This job was originally posted as
