Fulfilling our long-term vision requires solving some of the most interesting and difficult problems on earth; the journey to new realities provides continuous progression and development opportunities for our world class problem solvers. // ROLE As an engineer in the platform team at Improbable, you will be responsible for designing, building and running the software and systems which underpin our large-scale, real-time, distributed simulations. This systems will need to adhere to business needs and will be shipped to our customer base. You’ll be building flexible services and tooling such as monitoring which allows monitor the health of the platform and deliver seamless experience to our customers. This team is responsible for providing a production environment where simulations can run reliably and at scale. This means you’ll be tasked with the end-to-end testing of the systems you build and ensuring code quality is kept high at all times. // ESSENTIAL At least 2 years experience in designing and building, highly performant and reliable infrastructure according to business needs and for a customer facing application Experience in building applications to specifications using Scala and Akka You have previously designed and developed operational tools such as infrastructure monitoring for storage systems Extensive experience with software engineering best practices such as TDD and Code Reviewing This job was originally posted as
