I am currently looking for a Business Portfolio Test Manager to join a top financial organisation based in Cardiff. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business. Duties and Responsibilities To own testing delivery within the Business Unit. This will require developing and direct testing strategies across all stages of test (in conjunction with development partners) and building and maintaining a business test team. Direct and define test strategies across the division that ensure appropriate and efficient testing of projects to deliver operational effectiveness and project benefits. Manage and control test activity to ensure the effective execution of test, to ensure that programmes/projects meet business goals, regulatory requirements and conform to IT policies and procedures. Actively participate in Business planning and strategy activities to facilitate the production and maintenance of a rolling twelve month test resource plan for the division to ensure the optimum use of testing and business resource. Provide a Quality Assurance function for test activity across programmes/projects to ensure adherence to testing policies and practices and use of testing best practice principles. Skills Required Detailed knowledge of test planning, estimation, tracking and reporting across a portfolio of projects Detailed knowledge in defining and capturing test metrics ISEB/ ISTQB Expert Level Qualification (Test Management or Improving Test Process) or equivalent experience Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and their implementation in test Has a good understanding of commercial drivers and priorities (understand P&L, Value Add, APE etc) Good knowledge and understanding of systems and structures within BU. Experience in leading test across multiple Development methodologies (V-Model, Agile, Extreme and Waterfall) Experience in BAU and Project Test delivery Experience using Test Management tools (e.g. HP Quality Center) to manage test execution and reporting.
