General Manager Network Development – Coventry – Distribution/Logistics/Parcels Salary up to : £45K Base Plus Car or Car Allowance plus 26 days holiday and good Benefits Laptop – mobile Our client is one of the best known names in the Distribution market, providing our customers with high standards of quality and service The role The role of Network Design Manager is to create and implement the infrastructure plan for the operational network, taking account of the current and future business strategy. The position holder will be expected to design the network taking account of the limitations and constraints within the operation. The development of the network will also include tactical changes to the depot boundaries and radial delivery routes to optimise the network performance. Responsibilities: · Responsibility for design and implementation of the operational 3 year plan · Implement tactical network changes to ensure a smooth operational network · Foresee network challenges and be the champion of development to alleviate future issues. · Produce innovative and robust ideas to infrastructural change · To develop new concepts and techniques to deliver lean solutions. · To manage the implementation of new operational processes and buildings, from initial inception of ideas through to handover of the live operation · Experience of logistics operations and delivering customer solutions. · Experience of project planning and managing multiple projects. · Excellent organisational skills. · Understanding of supply chain and related processes.
