Main purpose of role is to ensure that the product is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. Coordinate the activities required to meet quality & food safety standards. Roles and Responsibilities: •Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality and food safety management systems. •Produce data and report on performance, measuring against standard. •Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly. •Responsible for company’s quality and hygiene procedures, standards and specifications to comply with BRC and ISO 9001 regulations. •Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring that they are met. •Setting standards for quality & hygiene as well as health and safety. •Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards. •Defining quality & Hygiene procedures in conjunction with operating staff. •Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures. •Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. •Manage the QA Shift Compliance Team. Person specification - Who you need to be •Demonstration of business awareness and commercial acumen •Effective and skilled communicator •Effective interfacing with external resources as well as with colleagues within the UKFC division •Ability to prioritise and work under pressure •Full understanding of materials, product offerings and applications •Broad knowledge of the converting and packaging business •Strong People Skills - likeable, trustworthy and have the ability to communicate at all levels •Self-motivated and able to think on their feet and have good attention to detail. •Open Minded to Customer thinking / approach. •Flexibility – willing to travel at short notice and un-planed i.e. re-active to all situations. •Problem Solving Ability. •Reporting Skills- vocal, IT, presentation. •Able to work in a team atmosphere / mentality. •Face of ‘Visibility at Customers’ •Respect Customer safety rules at all times and wear the correct PPE. •Respect Customers Food safety rules - clean overall, hairnets, food safety policies Due to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application.
