Tail Lift Engineer - Mobile Engineering North London and surrounding area Excellent earning potential with premium overtime and a realistic 10 hours per week available Purpose of Role: To install, maintain and repair vehicle tail lift/moving floors and associated equipment, in line with manufacturers published guidance. Adhering to company policies and safe working practices for self and others, at all times. Key Responsibilities: ? Installation, servicing and repair of vehicle tail lifts/moving floors, limiting costs of stock used on contract accounts and maximising revenue generation in all areas. ? Optimise and maintain engineer van stocks to maintain and enhance service delivery to customers. ? Ensure relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van on a daily basis. ? Maintain product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9002 standards at all times. Undertaking compulsory company training and self-development through the engineer skills matrix training process. ? To liaise with central control and/or the service centre with regard to job start and completion times, downtime and overtime authorisation; cost updates and customer purchase orders. ? Complete all relevant paperwork and on-line (mobile mechanic) requirements enabling central control and invoicing to maintain a high standard of customer interface ? keeping the customer informed. ? Provide technical help to customers and other personnel as required. Provide technical training for people and customers, as appropriate. ? Assist with planning of tail lift installations and undertake installations and commissioning if/when required. ? Perform other duties and projects which correspond to the general character of the position. ? Ensure adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, Health & safety procedures and ISO9002 standards. ? Apprentices and or engineers in training (EIT) may be supervised where applicable. ? Ensure customer service is a priority and conduct & corporate image (self, van, tools, spares) are first rate and beyond reproach. Full job spec available.
