Bette Blue is a growing supplier of Womenswear fast fashion, who work with a range of well known high street brands. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Creative Pattern Cutter to become part of the team, so if you fit the below requirements, please get in touch The studio is based in Seven Sisters, North London. You will be required to work in-house, on a full-time contract. Experience requirements: Qualified in Pattern Cutting- preferably BA level or equivalent Experienced in professionally creating patterns for womenswear garments; including evening wear and soft separates- minimum 1 year Confidence in using soft woven fabrics; chiffon, silk/satin, velvet, sequin and jersey Knowledge of CAD systems, grading and plus sizing are desirable but not essential Job requirements: Confidence in producing first patterns that will be used to create first samples for fitting, grading and production Maintaining awareness of current trends and high street product, and full understanding of customer's profile, so that our product is aimed directly at the relevant customer base, with a strong fashion focus Knowledge of wide range of stitching and finishing processes, using this to create workbooks to clarify construction in detail Ability to work within a team, whilst managing own workload Great communication skills, with good understanding of the English language; both written and verbal Benefits: Competitive salary Full time, permanent contract Creative work on a range on products, broadening experience Position in a fast growing company Working alongside other professionals, gaining great insight into the industry Day to day role: Individually creating clear and concise patterns, to a high standard Use of toiles and stand work to fit garments, with the ability to alter and amend first patterns, where necessary Creating workbooks for each pattern, which will require knowledge of finishing techniques and garment construction Working efficiently to create patterns in a fast paced environment, within small time frames Liaising with design team to develop and alter first fit samples to specifications Salary will be competitive, negotiable depending on experience This job was originally posted as
