Position: Technical Support/CAD Designer Reports to: Technical Manager Salary: £19,000 to £20,000 (depending on experience) Location: Birmingham Our client, a leading manufacturer of high quality kitchens, is looking to recruit a technical support person to provide support to their customers. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well established and respected business and to further develop your CAD Designing skills. Job Responsibilities: You will be the main point of contact for order plan checking. This will include interpreting and detailed checking of kitchen drawings/plans to determine accuracy and viability To clearly communicate issues and advise your customers of the most appropriate course of action to take to ensure a successful completion. Resolve kitchen planning issues before orders are produced to enable a satisfactory process and reducing any negative impact on the business. Produce one-off special drawings, using a recognised CAD drafting software, working to the customer specifications then processing these through the company in-house system. Support the Customer Service team by communicating clear solutions to any technical issues that may arise and resolving these in a prompt manner. Person Specification: Experience in reading technical drawings and planning kitchens Experience in the use of a recognised 2D/3D CAD drawing package Well organised with good communication and problem solving skills Experience in a Technical role and/or a good understanding of kitchen manufacturing processes would be advantageous, however full training will be provided This job was originally posted as
