Location: Marischal College Duration: Full Time / Fixed Term (up to 2 years) The Council has just approved a new Digital strategy, with an £4.5 million investment over the next 5 years to transform the way do our business. With a focus on developing and shaping our culture and mind-set, this role will play a key part in delivering transformational projects, as we modernise, improve and transform how we deliver services Job Purpose: To manage the Council’s ability to improve by supporting the development and delivery of a strategies relating to corporate transformation, innovation and improvement. Developing tools and techniques which support innovation, transformational change and improvement, whilst applying and supporting others to apply these techniques. Interviews are to be held on 1st November 2016. Requirements The post holder needs to hold as a minimum: A higher education or further education qualification in a discipline related to the work portfolio or equivalent demonstrable experience and knowledge Responsibilities The post holder is expected to demonstrate: Ability to work at a strategic level in a multi-agency, collaborative environment to achieve common aims and deliver improvement and transformational change; The ability to analyse diverse and complex situations, and to develop strategies and plans requiring long term, multi-faceted, complex planning; Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others to act as they might not otherwise wish to with the aim of enabling others to fully contribute to organisational improvement and transformational change; Forging new relationships with others, including with others whose views / behaviours are conflicting; The ability to work using very wide discretion and initiative, subject to minimal managerial direction to deliver measurable improvement and transformational change; Ability to prioritise workload, managing constant and often conflicting demands.
