The Role: IT Support Executive (Security) Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne Package: £29,000 plus pension, health & flexible benefits Overview: We are looking to recruit a number of experienced IT support technicians with previous commercial experience and a detailed technical understanding of the technologies linked towards information and cyber security. You`ll work as part of the regional IT support team that will provide technical advice and work alongside the national regional team to implement & manage IT security solutions for external customers within the managed services business. This opportunity would enable you to play a key role in helping clients to improve their cyber security operations as part of the technical team will also be taking responsibility for the implementation and management of the IS solutions. It is assumed you can point to a proven IT support track record, ideally around 2nd and 3rd line based network and server technologies, but if you have also taken responsibility for information security on the team then this could be the opportunity to specialise and further your career in that specific area. Role Responsibilities: Work on projects to implement and manage IS & cyber security solutions externally within this business stream (Managed solutions) Work closely with audit and risk divisions before implementation of technical solution Assist with the mobilisation of project teams and design of the processes to be followed Support bids and proposals for new projects and client opportunities Assist in preparing reports and outputs that will be delivered to clients and other parties Skills and experience Solid 2nd / 3rd line support exposure to typical Microsoft Desktop and Server and Cisco IP based technologies Awareness / knowledge of Information / Cyber security standards Solid IT and/or technology background with solid information security technical know how Experience and understanding of Financial Services a bonus Strong academic record including a relevant undergraduate (Bachelors) degree (or equivalent) Knowledge in penetration testing, programming, networks and operating systems would be an added advantage Creative, independent with good problem solving skills Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and writing skills Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment Any formal IS accreditation would be a bonus and willingness to study towards professional certifications such as the CISSP, CISM, CISA The company: World renowned professional services business looking to expand further into the World of information and cyber security solutions.
