Operations Engagement and Talent Manager Ref: req31700 Position: Operational Engagement and Talent Manager Location: North East and West Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Closing Date for Applications : 28th October 2016 These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as an Operational Engagement and Talent Manager to focus on the Entry Level Talent Pool across all the CLS business areas including warehouse, transport and co-packing Key Responsibilities in this role will include: Continue to roll out process to identify Entry Level Talent within the BU Identify key skills & experiences required to be a successful FLM and support the sites in how to build a pipeline of potential FLM's within the division Continue to develop and shape the existing programme for developing Entry Level Talent in the division that is flexible to support the growth agenda, utilising existing DHL tools wherever possible Identify opportunities & build links with external bodies for funding for training and development Central point for co-ordination of all DHL L& D initiatives and programmes at Entry Level In conjunction with the Talent Team & Training Solns, devise tools for development initiatives and ensure managers are trained to use the tools effectively - taking into account new skills for business growth as required by the account eg co-pack Introduce means to measure effectiveness of internal development programmes Creation of Divisional specific development programmes as per business needs in conjunction with Training Solutions Point of contact for all L&D based queries at Entry Level for the account In conjunction with the Training Solutions team, compile training needs analysis for entry level talent Support Talent brokerage at Entry Level for the division Support the SHRBP in evaluating and monitoring the motiv8 process at FLM & Shift Mgr Roll out standard offerings for the account in such programmes as Warehouse to Wheels, Apprenticeships etc communicating and training managers to run the programmes as necessary Build links with local communities, schools and colleges to enhance recruitment at entry level and reduce reliance on agency Educate FLM's and Shift Mgrs in DHL initiatives such as Active Leadership & engagement tools Contribute to the talent agenda at Entry Level in CLS through the management team and HRBP's ensuring the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time Key skills and experience in this role will include: Essential High level of honesty and integrity Analytical and accurate Conflict resolution skills Flexible and Organised Commercially Astute Good business communicator Relationship builder Pro-active and pragmatic Problem solving skills Highly computer literate Desirable Project Management Key performance indicator development People Management Workload planning logistics industry experience Experience of setting up new business processes and procedure Systems and process set up and change Interest in professional and continual development Involved/managed change What will you get in return?
