Manufacturing and Production focused organisation in Cambridgeshire are recruiting a Supply Chain Technical Services Manager to join an expanding team and company. Client Details The Client, based in Cambridgeshire, has undergone significant change and growth over the past 12 months, and as such require an extra head in the Technical Services team. The role will report into the Head of Technical Services and will sit alongside two peers. The company are a global producer and supplier of pharmaceutical products across oncology, asthma care and pain regulation. Description The Supply Chain Technical Services Manager will be required to support the Technical Services Function in achieving the following: Regularly reviewing the strategy for the technical support of each of the Associated Companies, Joint Ventures and third parties. Assist in ensuring appropriate Technical processes are developed and implemented at each of the IAC's, JV's, ML's and third parties across the European Region. In conjunction with the European Business Development Managers and cross functional teams, is responsible for ensuring efficient and appropriate technical due diligence is carried out, including audits, related to the manufacturing, quality testing and distribution of potential in-licensed products. Ensure that both IAC manufacturing and third party Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) have the technical requirements needed to produce MA products. Work in conjunction with third party CMO's, develop and manage the technical relationships for non MA products. Responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of knowledge in the Supply Chain team for all product platforms, to allow the efficient and effective commercialisation and due diligence from the following development streams R&D pipeline In licensed Products Product and company acquisition With support from the Supply Chain, and overseen by Quality, this role is responsible for the development and management of Technical Agreements on behalf of each of the IACs, JVs, ML's and third parties. Ensure there is appropriate level of management for the successful and timely completion of Process and Product Transfers Ensures there is appropriate validation for products manufactured at JV's and CMO's. Provides technical guidance, management support and expertise to the IAC's and ML's in the following areas: Raw material sourcing, including specifications, supplier information and technical issue resolution GMP, GLP and GDP Ensure there is sufficient support for continuous improvement processes and projects as required by each of the IAC's, CMO's and JV's. Ensure, in conjunction with Quality and Alliance Management, that periodic reviews of Licensee manufactured products are carried out effectively. Support the Technical Services Function in achieving the following: Ensures there are the correct relationships and communication streams with the JV's, IAC's and CMO's at the appropriate technical levels. Provide technical guidance, management support and expertise to the Licensees and IAC's in the areas of: Facilities and Equipment Logistics and Distribution Provides technical guidance and expertise for: Manufacturing improvement projects in each of the IAC's and JV's In setting the manufacturing equipment strategy for each of the IAC's and JV's Reducing the cost of products by improving yields, reducing factory losses, and improving process times and cycle times. Development of technical processes such as Process Validation Problem Solving Inputs into Risk Management Plans carried out by the Supply Chain teams supporting the SCTC supported regions Manage technical pipeline and life cycle management processes including New Product Introduction. Ensure timely and competent technical evaluation and investigations are carried out for complaints and recalls. Profile The Supply Chain Technical Services Manager will be responsible for significant stakeholder management and personal relationship building as key responsibilities required for this role. This needs to be balanced with a strong technical set of skills as detailed above. Additionally, someone who is able to evaluate and improve technical processes and relationships. The candidate must be happy working as part of a team, but additionally, initiative and personal motivation are crucial traits.
