PHP Operations Developer This is an exceptional opportunity to join a multi-award winning international technology company that has over 160,000 clients reaching out to over 50 million people each month using its software. The role, based at the company’s offices in Worcestershire, is integral to the company’s continued success in an incredibly high growth industry. The primary role will be to join the operations team maintaining the infrastructure and code base for our client’s key products. You will work in collaboration with the support team to be a 3rd line of support to triage and resolve issues where possible before they are escalated to the core development team. You should present a confident and friendly manner on the telephone with excellent customer support skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with the ability to change gear easily to react to a dynamic environment. You should also have the ability to monitor systems and identify patterns that may indicate performance issues in the system. The right candidate will have a passion for Linux, emerging and open-source technologies, as well as a passion for development with particular interest in triage of code related issues and resolution. You will work closely with the operations manager to ensure 99.99% uptime for all the key systems. Required Skills Hands-on experience administering Linux servers remotely Experience working with BASH scripting Experience with LAMP server environment and administration with a proactive approach to monitoring / maintenance Experience of coding PHP with OOP Excellent knowledge of MySQL queries and relational databases HTML, CSS and Javascript and jQuery Good data management skills Good analytical and debugging skills Other desirable skills Experience with GIT or other version control environments Experience using Docker in development, testing and production environments Although this company are already Sunday Times Top 100 & Deloitte Top 50 award winners, they are still fiercely ambitious and have plenty to still achieve.
