ROLE Apprenticeship Connect are currently seeking a young individual eager to start a career as an apprentice/trainee events specialist . The ideal candidate will have worked in an office or sales role, although this is not essential, or will be driven and motivated to work in a target driven role. As an apprentice/trainee consultant you will be guided in your learning by a senior member of the recruitment team helping develop your skills and industry knowledge. This apprenticeship will suite those with minimal to no recruitment experience, recent school/college leavers or young individuals looking for a change of employment. Due to the nature of the apprenticeship full training and support will be provided over the 12 month course with the possibility to move on afterwards to a full time position within the company. COMPANY My client, one of the most exciting, dynamic, fast growing events company located in London. This company is one of the biggest providers of Stag, Hen and Activity weekends in the UK. We are also a leading player in Corporate Events sector. The new positions have arisen as the company is looking to expand. DUTIES Your day to day duties can include: This is a telephone based sales role. All our enquiries are inbound and come in via e-mail or over the phone. Therefore there is no cold calling involved. Our prospective clients have usually viewed our website and outline to us what has caught their eye along with dates and a budget. Your role is to contact them, discuss options and prices and email across quotes. After some follow up conversations your objective is to conclude a deal for an event package. After which you take a deposit, book up hotels and activity centres and perform other general booking administration. From there you ensure the full balance is received on time and see that everything runs like clockwork up until and after the event. REQUIRMENT As this is an apprenticeship no previous experience is required, however you will need to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for the role. Whether you have recent left school or college and are looking for your first step on the career ladder or even an alternative to further education an apprenticeship is the best path. In a recruitment role you will need to be resilient, a strong team player, driven, ambitious and motivated (both to be successful and for financial gain). Previous experience in a sales/office based role or having worked or studied within engineering or construction would be advantageous but not essential.
