An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Researcher to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in London, initially until January 2017 offering up to £200 per day ltd. Main Duties: Insight projects for DVSA in conjunction with a range of Agency teams, sector directorates and operations. Utilise a range of research methodologies, ranging from social to market research, sourcing primary data and using operational data from the business. To support the Product Managers, undertake research to ensure the Agency can make evidence-based policy and programme decisions, and to ensure that its activities take account of research being undertaken domestically and internationally around road safety. Support the DVSAs customer insight and satisfaction programme, ensuring that customer research is commissioned and delivered in line with reporting requirements. Contribute to producing a sound evidence base, agreeing actions across the business to improve customer satisfaction and experience. Contribute to the reporting and publicising of research outcomes to DVSA Product Managers, other Senior Officials and wider DVSA staff. Champion the need for action to formulate recommendations and to take these forward into action plans. Essential Experience: Will use a hands on approach to contribute to research projects, being involved from initial brief through to final delivery. Will use a combination of research methods ranging from social to market research to source relevant data and feedback to support policy and project objectives. Will collect, analyse and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and solutions from a range of sources including surveys, transcripts and other primary and secondary sources. Will work with the team to identify risks and seek mitigating actions as required. Will support colleagues in the team with other ad hoc requests.
