Events Marketing Campaign Manager - Job Summary Working closely with the business owners, and reporting to the Strategic Marketing Manager, this role will lead on the development of marketing campaigns and projects for all products to the allocated channel using a range of marketing techniques and skill sets to meet agreed objectives. The post holder will be responsible for developing marketing plans and implementing effective campaigns which contribute towards meeting department & company goals and objectives A high profile professional role, this position requires an experienced and energetic individual possessing creativity and the ability to influence colleagues. Events Marketing Campaign Manager Responsibilities Deliver professional marketing support to the Events team including advice, project management and campaign work within deadline, budget and satisfaction Create and implement marketing campaigns for individual events across a wide range of marketing channels Work creatively within the budgets set by the Events Marketing Manager and provide regular financial and ROI reporting To deputise for the Events Marketing Manager where required Assist with the optimisation, updating and traffic monitoring of the events websites, working alongside the Events Website Administrator To line manage the Events Telemarketing Executive and provide mentoring and advice to other junior members of the team as required Research external lists appropriate to specific events as a component of individual marketing campaigns Communicate with external suppliers to ensure the timely production of event brochures and other promotional material, e.g. banner stands Act as lead liaison on behalf of the Events Marketing Team with key suppliers Ensure good working relationships are built with colleagues throughout the organisation and a thorough understanding of individual business function needs Establish working relationships and negotiate contract deals with external publications, associations and websites in order to develop optimum external coverage for the events portfolio Manage the relationship with the external PR agency and help devise creative, cut-through stories and angles Maintain and manage the social media presence of the organisation, focusing on the events Guarantee that all communications are of a consistently high quality in copy, tone, design and print All copyright issues are checked and adhered to, and that the organisation is not subjected to any legal misrepresentation To stay up to date with the very latest marketing techniques, trends and policies and identify opportunities for the events department to exploit and/or implement them Events Marketing Campaign Manager Specification Essential Criteria: Educated to degree level or equivalent A skillful verbal and written communicator, with the tact and assertiveness necessary to work within a demanding environment Ideal candidates will have experience within Technology, Scientific or Academic Publishing sectors although not essential Excellent project and budget management skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels Excellent copywriting skills Good experience of planning and implementing marketing campaigns across multiple channels Full IT literacy with an understanding of print and digital marketing techniques Highly organised with the ability to deal with multiple projects on an on-going basis and meet deadlines An enthusiastic and proactive person who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, can work on his or her own initiative within a busy team and under pressure of tight deadlines Imaginative and creative Desirable: Marketing degree / Professional qualification CIM, CAM or IDM Digital marketing experience Academic publishing experience gained within a marketing environment This is a SUPERB opportunity to work as an Event Marketing Campaign Manager so do not hesitate to send your C.V over to Gemma today Email: gemmamaidayrecruit This job was originally posted as
