Business Analyst (Agile Product Owner) - Permanent - Manchester - £30,000 - £35,000 A fantastic opportunity to join our client in their brand new centre based in Manchester. Our client has a range of vacancies within their rapidly growing Systems Engineering Team. Our client operates an Agile/Scrum project methodology and you will be involved in the full development lifecycle as a Business Analyst in a Product Owners Role. Key Responsibilities: Representing the customer by being responsible for managing the Product Backlog Elaboration of Epics and Stories, including priority, test and acceptance criteria Owning the Product Backlog Expressing Backlog items Ensuring the Product Backlog is visible, shows what the development team will do next Ensuring the development team understands items in the product backlog to the level needed Assist in sprint planning and prioritisation Essential Skills (one or more of the following): Experience Working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model Experience of Requirements Elicitation and Management Experience of Use Case design and modelling. Experience of Business Process Modelling using BPMN Customer Liaison and Communications skills Desirable Skills: Experience Working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model Experience of JIRA software development tool Experience of Confluence collaboration software Experience of Functional Requirements Elicitation Experience of Non Functional Requirements Elicitation Experience of running stakeholder workshops (for requirements or story elaboration) Knowledge of BA techniques to analyse problems Knowledge of User Experience (UX) Knowledge of User Interface (UI) Wireframe Key Behaviours: Good written and oral communication skills Good time management, organization and prioritization skills An inquisitive mind and a desire to promote innovation A desire to learn and constantly expand your horizons Ability to work closely with others in a small team Ability to work under pressure High degree of initiative and flexibility Willingness to travel when required Qualifications: Degree in Numerate Subject desirable but not essential. Recognized agile product owner qualification such as Scrum Product Owner desirable. Typical Experience: Experience of Business Analysis or Requirements Elicitation in a military or Government project background would be an advantage, but is not essential. A broad knowledge of information Security 'best practice' would also be useful.
