A team role in a successful, engineering led company The Company: Based in South-West London our client specialises in the design and supply of high performance electronic air flow sensors for worldwide markets. In the past eight years the business has expanded rapidly and they now supply many of the world’s major wind turbine manufacturers. The Role: The prime function of the electronic engineer role is electronic circuit design and development - contributing at every stage of design, development and testing of new and enhanced products. Specific tasks will include: · Design, development and testing of electronic circuits and of hardware-oriented software (VHDL) in the analogue and digital sensors of anemometers. · Supporting product design, integration, validation and handover to production with other Engineering team members. · Supporting management and other departments in contacts with customers · Manage Q.A. including documentation, reviews, validation, change and configuration management · Using experience, knowledge and understanding of integrated circuit interfacing and digital and analogue communication systems processor interfacing The Candidate: The successful candidate will have: · A B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in a field related to the role as specified · Experience in electronic circuit design in a sensor and/or instrumentation environment · In depth knowledge of modern electronic circuit design encompassing Analogue and Digital · Robust knowledge of Analogue, Digital, Mixed-Signal, Power Management and Interface circuit design · Experience of working on Op-amp, Data Converters, Filters, Linear Regulators, Switching Regulators, Discrete Semiconductor, Sensors and Passives Components, EPLD, FPGA and Microcontrollers and PCB design · Experience of processor interfacing e.g. I²C, SPI and asynchronous protocols · Understanding of research and development methodologies for high technology manufactured products · Knowledge of all aspects of Q.A. including Documentation, Reviews, Validation, Change and Configuration Management · Experience of integrated circuit interfacing and digital and analogue communication systems at design level Experience with circuit simulation tools and FPGA-HDL design /development tools is desirable . Familiarity with analogue and digital filter design methodologies along with R/F circuit design would be an advantage. Experience in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Hardware Description Language (HDL) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) would also be advantageous.
