If you have a passion for the food industry and are looking for a great company to work for, then read on Due to growth within the team, a vacancy has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager based at the Spalding site reporting to the Technical Manager. Acting as an inspiring ambassador for the business you will ensure that the Technical team meet the highest quality standards for the site and the customer. As part of the management team you will drive continual improvement both within the Technical team but also across all departments looking for ways to implement the values. The position will manage the day to day running of the QA team, including responding to Customer Complaints, driving the internal audit schedule and being heavily involved in external audits. As a key supplier of higher welfare pork to all the major retailers’ welfare is also a big part of the job alongside the quality and food safety aspects. Working closely with the Technical Manager and Technical Systems Manager you will develop a best in class Quality Management system and with the TS Manager provide mentoring and support to the teams apprentice. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a related field plus relevant category experience within a FMCG environment. You will have strong data interpretation and analytical skills and be able to communicate complex data to internal and external stakeholders. You must be able to effectively influence colleagues and customers and be a key team player. Good market/product/category awareness is a must as are excellent IT skills.
