Joining the team as a Volunteer Officer, you will: Be the main contact for all existing and potential volunteers Ensure appropriate support and supervision is in place for all volunteers involved in the work of the Trust Obtain feedback from volunteers after they have attended events Identify volunteer requirements and agree recruitment plans Attend relevant volunteer recruitment events and regularly communicate with local volunteer centres Provide the correct number and calibre of volunteers to support company events and talks Deal with any issues relating to volunteers in line with the relevant policy Communicate with volunteers and ensure they are updated with news and changes within the Trust Maintain Volunteer morale Ensure that all new volunteers receive appropriate induction Develop and implement communication plans with volunteers Support the development and delivery of initiatives Develop and implement systems to enable effective monitoring and evaluation of volunteering Development and implement of a volunteer handbook As our ideal Volunteer Officer you will have: Demonstrable experience of volunteer management best practice Experience of managing successful relationships with colleagues, volunteers and external partners Confidence in providing advice and guidance to others around policy, procedure and good practice Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively when addressing a variety of audiences in person, on the phone, via email, and when giving presentations to groups Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage a high volume workload and manage conflicting priorities Understanding of data protection and willingness to maintain knowledge and adhere to legislation If you feel you have the skills and experience required to excel in the role of Volunteer Officer, we want to hear from you.
