The successful candidate will have the relevant skills and experience specified below for this 6 mo nth temporary contract based in the North West/Birchwood Park. The successful candidate will have a valid SC or DV or be willing to have one processed/sponsored by the client. If you do not have the clearance level requested you must be willing to apply for a Disclosure of Scotland on CV submission. Oversee the work of the Service Architecture team. Be responsible for architecture and design governance in line with Product and IT strategy, architectural road maps and Quality Policy with accountability for key design decisions. Provide hands-on technical leadership in the development, operation and ongoing improvement of a complex, transformational digital service. Develop a deep understanding of the organisations digital service user needs and ensure that new technology is built to support them. Provide technical hands on leadership and advice for production of quality code. Understand and manage system quality with regards to simplicity, usability, availability, security and fraud avoidance. Advise on, manage and implement agile delivery projects within the organisation, providing guidance, mentoring and training in agile technical delivery and evolutionary software architecture to departments and agencies. Key Tasks & Deliverables: The role provides an essential business support function, acting as the first point of call for stakeholder and projects looking to engage security assurance architecture support, and as such is essential in establishing and then maintaining client relationships, managing expectations and providing on-going communications during and post project delivery Working at the direction of the Senior Security Assurance Analyst and Architect team, the role will provide advice, guidance and direction in respect of relevant strategies, technologies, policies and procedures Must be willing to undergo appropriate security clearance (SC or DV) • Essential Experience: Knowledge and understanding of current and emerging IT security, data protection and information risk principles and technologies in a business context Experience of applying and maintaining security controls as required by organisational policy and risk-based assessments Understanding of cyber security, notably threats faced by organisations, classifications of Malware, DoS and DdoS attacks, stages of hacking including social engineering, port and network sniffing Understanding of modern information and communication technology including one or more of virtualization, programming, security, networking, hardware, operating system, integration technologies and cloud services Understanding of the fundamentals of networking, internet topology, and the communication and exchange of data, networking technologies and protocols This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/66903273
