My client, a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Blackburn area, are looking to take on a Supplier Development Engineer to improve the quality of product and services provided by the business. Client Details My client is a leading aerospace manufacturing business in the Blackburn area. Description The successful Supplier Development Engineer will work heavily with the Quality Engineering department, and be able to visit suppliers to improve business services. Responsibilities will include: Liaising with suppliers to ensure concessions, FPA's, DAR's, FAIRs and PPAP are completed correctly, prior to their submission to the business Monitoring and driving performance of suppliers that require development/improvement activity to eliminate quality and supply issues Working with all suppliers undertaking Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing action plans to resolve Quality issues Supporting the Supply Chain team in the selection of suppliers who are capable of meeting quality requirements Developing and managing Supplier Risk Diagnostic Process Raising CARs for supplier Quality issues Conducting supplier audits and technical assessments Balancing the needs of the customer against the needs of the business Profile The successful Supplier Development Engineer will have: A HNC/HND/Degree in an Engineering discipline A proven Aerospace or automotive quality background A strong Quality toolkit Excellent communication and problem solving skills The ability to travel to supplier sites as required Job Offer £34,000 - £40,000 DOE This job was originally posted as
