Senior Testing and QA The role: As part of a cross functional scrum team, you will: · Shape the company's perception of quality · Pass your passion for quality on to team members · Implement high level automated test scenarios · Verify functional aspects of user stories delivered by the team and help clarity requirements · Document test cases, deliver QA reports, sign off stories for UAT · Participate in scrum meetings, helping to identify quality aspects of stories · Track defect rates over time, and actively participate in process improvement · Guide and help support less experienced Testers within the Team · Work closely with software developers to help develop test specifications, build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential areas of product test failures · Ensuring that key QA testing artefacts are developed in line with agreed standards You are: · Experienced in both manual and automated testing, able to think beyond assigned task · Experienced in working in a web environment, and about automated testing frameworks and libraries · Passionate about knowledge sharing, training and documentation · Ambitious, driven to learn, want to bring new skills to the team, and be a good team player · Skilled using SQL relational database management system · Able to quickly produce product "heat-map" on possible areas of risk for the benefit of focused testing · Able to apply “predicate coverage” on projects, communicate risks early and is less dependent What you need to know: We expect the following foundational knowledge: · Different types of testing and when to use them · Web application working environments across platforms and browsers · Frameworks and tools for testing complex PHP/MySQL applications · Test and Defect Management tools, and bug tracking tools such as JIRA · Practical and systematic approaches to testing and able to recommend best practices · Functional test for Android & iOS with Robotium and setting up test automation framework · To accurately understand defects, and be willing to comprehensively develop root cause analysis effectively and methodically Anything from the next list will help you knock our socks off: · Agile development strategies, Scrum · QA tools such as PHPUnit, Behat, Selenium, Postman, · Financial systems You are not afraid of: · Using the Linux CLI · Using version control, specifically git · Running SQL queries on a database and understanding complex data · Picking up some development skill along the way · Communicating with stakeholders on test requirements and feedback test outcomes This job was originally posted as
