Our prestigious Client, based in Cambridge is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to design wireless systems and products. You will be responsible for all stages of the electronic design: from the initial idea, through detailed-design, to debug and transfer to manufacture. You will work within a small team, giving you lots of responsibility, and you will work with and learn from a team of highly-skilled software, DSP and RF engineers. As a project team member you will be responsible for carrying out your project tasks within the timescales and budgets agreed with your project manager. There are many aspects to this Company's work in addition to design, so as your experience develops, you might wish to take on further responsibilities. The successful candidate will have an excellent first degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and relevant experience designing electronic circuits. With good communication skills, you will have an enthusiasm for designing things and making them work. Experience in PCB design, Microprocessor board design and programming, Verilog or VHDL coding for FPGA or ASIC, knowledge of Digital Signal Processing and coding skills in C or other languages would be considered advantageous.
