We are recruiting in our Market Drayton UK Head Office for a Talent Development Manager. To lead the business in creating and executing a functional, professional competency framework that includes the Global Core Competencies. This role will involve partnering senior leaders to ensure alignment of skills to shape and maintain a career map across the business as well as partner external providers of professional skill capability, including Business Schools. Key Responsibilities: Internal Partnering- Partner with senior leaders across the business to identify and shape professional competence Align each function's needs to a common platform to ensure consistency of approach in Gathering, shaping and displaying professional competency development Liaise with senior leaders on a regular basis to ensure that the offer is up to date and fit for purpose Agree best approach - and provider - to support each offer of professional development using 70:20:10 Ensure ways of working are in place to enable the best working partnership Work with the leaders and identified support within the function to ensure sustainability of professional capability Work with Talent Development to draw upon existing cross-functional needs and identify where this could become a business-wide opportunity Integrate Muller's Global Core Competencies to the professional competence framework in the business External Partnering: Develop a network of external partners for Muller UK & Ireland to provide the best professional competence offer to the business for now and for the future Liaise regularly with key contacts from this network to ensure professional development is accessible and fit for purpose Work closely with providers and internally to ensure that all learning provided can be hosted internally (namely IT-based solutions) Manage the external supplier list Muller deal with regarding professional development working closely with procurement to secure the most cost-effective solution Ensure external providers can support professional competence aligned to Muller's Global Core Competencies Become actively involved - or advise internal stakeholders - in professional networks to enhance continuous professional development Evaluation of Professional Competence Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to agree a common measure of success of professional competence Lead internal qualifications - where none exist in the business - working with external awarding bodies to shape these Continually evaluate how 'fit for purpose' qualifications are; both the external provider and content within the qualification, with internal stakeholders Leadership Lead the professional competence and development of professional competence throughout Muller UK & Ireland Work with leaders across the business and with leaders from external providers to form a partnership that ensures Muller has leading edge, fit for purpose professional competence Work with colleagues across HR and in Talent Development to align work to HR OGSM Part of the leadership team in Talent Development to shape the Talent Development agenda and synergise design and development learning solutions Demonstrate leadership both within Talent Development, in the wider business and as an ambassador for Muller UK & Ireland when working with external providers Be able to deputise for the Talent Development Practice Lead as necessary Adhere to the Muller Global Core Competency framework from both a personal perspective in conduct and ensuring alignment with Professional Competence offer Budgets Liaise with function heads to agree budgets for functional competence Work closely with Procurement to advice on current and future costs for external professional development offers to enhance professional development Agree funding arrangements with both external and internal stakeholders Work with Digital Learning to ensure best value for money is aligned to best learning With a just in time mind-set for continuous development Systems Familiar with LMS to ensure content reflects each function's needs for professional skills and knowledge Using the LMS create a clear professional competency framework for each function to access Balance the offer of face to face with on-line support (70:20:10) Shape the offer and present it to look 'world class' so it is easy to access and becomes key to business success Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Creation and implementation of a professional competency framework in another organisation with positive results Leading in a non-direct leadership role Experience of working with both Business Schools and Industry providers of professional development Working with awarding bodies and providers Evaluation of professional development Up to date knowledge of 'latest' developments in learning from a professional perspective Challenges: Set-up and gain traction on professional competence framework that is fit for purpose for now and future use in Muller UK & Ireland Work with internal stakeholders to ensure Muller has a comprehensive professional framework that can lead to a career map for all colleagues to access Ensure 70:20:10 learning approach supports the professional development offer Pick up existing external professional relationships and identify and secure new partnerships with internal support that will drive Muller's professional competence and future business success Create a clear pipeline of roles so that talent can move and have a clear sense of direction of how it needs to get to where it needs to, to support our leaders Work with Talent Supply to ensure that the message of professional competence support is with future colleagues Personal Qualities: Having a clear vision - making it clear to stakeholders and engaging both senior leaders and external senior providers in it to execution Take Complex and make it easy to access and to understand - pragmatic with technical mastery Completer finisher Able to work in and lead a team Good communicator Hold others to account - ensure responsibilities are clear as are timelines Seeing things through the user/learner's eyes and execute learning in a way that makes sense Attention to detail Conscientious and disciplined Uses initiative.
