Senior Employment Lawyer - Cardiff City Centre One of the Regions leading law practices has a fantastic new role for a Senior / Associate Employment Lawyer to join an award winning team in Central Cardiff. The firm operates from offices in England and Wales and has a wide range of clients throughout the UK, with many clients having strong national / international connections. The client base is a true reflection on the firm’s nationwide strength and seamless service delivery. The firm work in close partnership with clients, providing positive, practice solutions and clear, comprehensive advice. Key Duties: •You will be acting for an impressive range of business clients of varying sizes and consequently, must have a confident and professional approach. •The role will require you to handle all aspects of employment law such as giving advice on contracts, settlement agreements and tribunals and staff handbooks. •You will be giving constructive and valuable advice to clients on all aspects of Employment such as discrimination in the work place, unlawful deduction of pay, unfair dismissal and constructive dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures and contracts of employment. •You will draft documents, letters and contacts tailored to the clients’ individual needs and negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives. You will also act on behalf of clients in disputes and represent them in tribunal if necessary as well as instructing barristers or specialist advocates to appear in tribunal for the client in complex disputes including preparing papers for tribunal. •You will be expected to provide a high quality legal service to clients on all aspects of employment work which is both contentious and non-contentious and will involve corporate support. •You will be required to attend and run client meetings and giving clear advice in correspondence both written and verbally. The ideal candidate: •The firm is relatively flexible when it comes to the range of experience that candidates should have in order to be considered. They have indicated that they are happy to consider applications from candidates from 5 years PQE upwards however, this is simply given as a guide. •The Employment team is highly regarded in the region.
