Procurement & Supply Chain - Change Manager Sheffield, South Yorkshire Excellent salary and benefits package with genuine long term opportunity Ash Consulting are working with a well-established manufacturing and distribution company serving the process industry sectors.Based in Sheffield they have a manufacturing base in Asia and a worldwide distribution network. Planned growth and expansion has created this new key role within the head office management team. This role represents an opportunity for a motivated systems oriented procurement and supply chain manager to make a significant impact on an ambitious manufacturing and distribution business. Key to the success will be the effective implementation of change within this department including the addition of an effective MRP system/ existing system update to deliver cohesive connected information and support to procurement and supply chain activities. The successful candidate will undertake the following duties: Effective implementation of a MRP system to effect maximum efficiency with minimum upheaval Managing the end-to-end supply chain from planning and purchasing through to OTIF delivery. Leading and managing the supply chain team. Supplier management and purchasing. Increase OTIF levels and optimise inventory across the network. Helping to set strategic direction for distribution across the UK, and delivering business plan. Interfacing with the manufacturing, 3PL and Warehouse. Setting the best practice in supply chain. Quality control management. Continuous improvement regarding systems and potential systems implementation. Qualifications and knowledge for this role: Degree/MCIPS Educated or equivalent Experienced in implementing MRP and training staff in accordance A strong understanding of Manufacturing/ supply chain with at least 5 years engineering and distribution experience to world markets Line management experience of direct teams Purchasing and supplier management Highly computer literate - advanced excel Experience of an ERP implementation/upgrade Excellent communication and influencing to develop strong relationships internally and externally Experience of quality control Able to prioritise and allocate time effectively Strong team player Highly organised and motivated On offer is an excellent salary and benefits package and the opportunity to join a progressive and well invested business at a key stage of programmed expansion.
