Senior Java Developers required with proven skills in Java EE (ideally Java 8), on Unix / Linux, Servlets, building API's, RDBMS, CI Tools (ideally Jenkins), Agile / Scrum practices, TDD or automated testing, and ideally XP/ Pair Programming combined with skills in design / architecture and coaching / mentoring is required by ecommerce giant in West London to work on cuting edge ecommerce platform serving millions of customers Skills required include Java EE (ideally Java 8) Servlet Containers (such as Tomcat, Jetty) Design / Architecture Coaching / mentoring Building APIs ideally RESTful Testing Frameworks and Automation Relational Databases or NoSQL Datastores Building highly available and scalable applications Continuous Integration / Build tools (including Jenkins) Source Control (including Git) Developing on a Unix/OSX-based system Agile practices (such as Scrum or Kanban) Ideal skills include Spring Framework (including Core, Integration) Websphere Commerce / WCS or other Commerce platforms CMS such as Core Media Monitoring Tools and Technologies Performance Measurement and Tuning PCI DSS Guidelines and experience implementing them- Desirable Other development languages (including python) - Desirable Configuration Management and Orchestrations Tools (eg. Puppet) - Desirable Messaging Frameworks and Integration Patterns (e.g. ActiveMQ, Spring Integration, Camel) - Desirable Developing within a Service-Oriented Architecture- Desirable Continuous Delivery- Desirable XP Practices (including Pair Programming) - Desirable Key Responsibilities: design / architecture mentoring / coaching Work closely with other members of the Team to deliver innovative solutions to business problems Contribute to the design of our evolving, standards-based Commerce Platform Iteratively develop features - Slicing work to get benefits and feedback early Regularly showcase features with business and technical stakeholders Measure and monitor Production Systems, including key data that demonstrates the value of the team's deliverables This is a great opportunity will be working in a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for the delivery of technically sound systems that have tough availability, scalability and security requirements.
