Our client is a global bank, who is achieving fantastic growth and success. Due to this growth they are searching for a Reporting and MI Manager to join their highly skilled analytics function in Edinburgh. The Reporting and MI Manager will sit within the customer conduct team within Global Compliance MI function and be responsible for delivering technical solutions, focused on enhancing the firm's MI capabilities. The Reporting and MI Manager role will be a Team Lead, responsible for managing, coaching and leading a team of 5-6 direct reports. Key Accountabilities · The role is responsible for streamlining current information processes, improving our clients’ data collection, exposing new insight to existing manual data and creating reports · Additional responsibility is to improve our clients’ data management via best practice in data collection, modelling, security, transform and accessibility · Use initiative and creativity to develop improvements to the current environment · Be able to seamlessly shift between long term strategic projects to more prescriptive adhoc requests · Track record of working through the project life cycle · Exhibit highest standards of ownership & accountability · Good interpersonal skills – ability to engage with stakeholders if needed · Good team working skills – working with other developers, BAs, managers, etc. · Using initiative and creativity to provide improvements to the current environment · Clearly articulating implications of technical analysis to colleagues and stakeholders · Supporting decisions with sound reasoning and rationale and data analysis · Fostering and maintaining an attitude of ‘can do’ within the Compliance Function. · Working with complex system architecture and data sets · Translating complex ideas into easily understandable solutions and documentation · Working independently at times and with remote teams · Build influence, trust, knowledge and experience · Thinking and acting in a joined up manor and sharing best practise across the group whilst applying technical knowledge, often within tight timeframes · Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications · Extensive, Proven Qlikview development expertise involving people management, report delivery, workflow tools, system development and architecture · Extensive experience in people management · University graduate (or equivalent), experience in tier one banks is a strong advantage · Experience of collecting manual data, the associated challenges and workflow solutions to improve the process · Experience of Datawarehouse technology · Experience in Qlikview extensions like Nprinting is beneficial · Track record of working through the project life cycle · Ability to work unsupervised at times and direct own work · Proven ability to clearly articulate implications of technical analysis to colleagues and stakeholders · Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to convey information in a way that is clear, succinct, and easily understood by non-analysts · Understanding or experience in Banking, Anti Money Laundering, Payments, Compliance, Analytics, Risk is a benefit · Experience of integrating tools (e.g. Qlikview) with SAS or Hadoop is an advantage · Proven SAS capabilities is favourable This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Reporting and MI Manager to work for an industry leading, dynamic and forward thinking organization, offering excellent progression and development opportunities.
