Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, DOS, Software, Hardware) An incredible opportunity has been signed off to be a Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, DOS, Software, Hardware) within the aviation industry. Offering circa 50% domestic and international travel working with their bespoke product. They are needing a Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, DOS, Software, Hardware) that is fast and effective in issue resolution. Is a technical expert capable personifying the company's prestigious reputation as an extension of their Engineering team and be the voice of the customers reporting back faults, issues and improvements. So as the company may evolve their products to ensure they stay ahead of the game and remain the predominant global leader. Your responsibilities as Field Customer Support Engineer (Linux, DOS, Software, Hardware)) will include: Respond to all airline queries related to operations and maintenance of their products and systems at airports across the world. Assistance in customer troubleshooting and resolution of system and interface problems. Record, report, consult and highlight trends. Advising on the severity/size of problem and ensure timely resolution. Advice and implement improvements to the reliability. Utilize other functional groups at your disposal to investigate issues and find resolution Work with the training department to help sculpt the maintenance and running training that is given to customers. Work closely with customer tech departments giving accurate timely reports, accurate data, further reports and feedback Responsible for customer perception of company image going above and beyond the customer's expectations. Manage long term business relationships and establish new ones landing and expanding. For the position of Systems Integration Engineer (Linux, DOS, Software, Hardware) you are required to have: In depth knowledge of Software able to troubleshoot and reconfigure it to ensure the smooth efficient running of their bespoke product. Highly competent with hardware able to dismantle and work on it at component level. The highest of standards in customer care and communication. A strong understanding of DOS / Linux, operating systems and related commands is essential. A good general knowledge of IT systems and Networking. You will need to be capable of in depth technical reporting both internally and externally to clients. Have a prize analytical mind and be a master of troubleshooting. Be a team player within a specialist UK team and able to step up and take the lead when needed. Higher education required (Bsc or equivalent) in Electronics, IT, Avionics or similar. Desirable Knowledge of Aviation, Avionic systems and aircraft highly desired but not essential. Ideally have 8 years relevant experience under your belt of customer support based Engineering recent of at least 3rd line level or similar level of in depth technical capability. Further Knowledge of IT and infrastructure Technologies This job is an exclusive aimed at a customer service driven individual with an analytical mind that enjoys troubleshooting and repairing technology.
