A Student Services Manager is required to join our Student Experience team in a permanent basis. This role will require regular travel across the North of England and West Midlands. The base location for this role can be Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester. WHAT THE STUDENT SERVICES MANAGER JOB INVOLVES: Reporting into the Head of Higher Education Engagement and Student Services, you will manage our student service across the North and Midlands region, supporting our teams to respond effectively to students in distress or difficulty and working towards positive outcomes in partnership with universities, social and medical services. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the day to day operation of the service across the region Providing specialist advice, guidance and coaching to employees dealing with student welfare issues Supporting city teams to develop close working relationships with university Student Services teams based on mutual goals Advising City Managers on welfare trends and issues across their cities Monitoring and driving continuous improvement of the service Acting as a Subject Matter Expert to the business within relevant areas of experience So, if you're looking for a career with great development potential, where you can be student focused and outcomes driven within a flexible, supportive and collaborative professional environment, you've come to the right place. WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU: You may have professional experience in a university, students union or youth setting, and you'll have a good working knowledge of the issues facing the student population today.
