Windows Server Systems Administrator - Managed Services, Citrix Home based - to suit South East England based candidate. London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, Sussex, Essex - for M25, M3 and M4 Corridor - all ideal £34,000 - £38,000 pa Comprehensive Benefits package Must be available for occasional travel to company offices in Berkshire for line management Major global provider of SaaS based business solutions for the public and private sector requires a new Windows System Administrator to join their Managed Services Team which supports the business by designing, building, administering and maintaining the infrastructure for the company's web-based / hosted applications The Role: You will be a core member of this team, and take responsibility for day to day operations of the production environments and supporting systems (development, test, bug tracking, subversion, configuration management etc), dealing with tickets raised by monitoring software, internal and external users, as well as a significant amount of project work. Joining us as a specialist in the Windows domains, you can also expect professional development to gain experience in a variety of technologies, including Linux, Unix, Oracle etc. Skills and experience required: 2 years Commercial experience and knowledge of administering Windows Server 2008 - 2012 : Ideally to MCP level or having equivalent industry experience Experience and understanding of best practices of Windows Active Directory design, installation and administration (ideally within a distributed, multi-environment infrastructure) Exposure to working with and ideally administering Citrix (Xenapp and/or Citrix Netscaler) Knowledge of IIS web server and IIS applications from a configuration perspective This is a fast paced and environment and the post holder must be eager to learn and steady under pressure as they support mission critical systems Experience gained in a SaaS/Cloud/ISP environment is preferred The Desirables: Any exposure to SQL Server technologies Any exposure to Powershell scripting and automating Knowledge of monitoring systems, particularly Zabbix or Nagios Experience with VMWare ESXi or other virtualisation tools Solid career progression and highly competitive salary structure on offer, allied to a comprehensive benefits package - including pension, health cover, insurances, discounts, share-save scheme etc. Please send CV now and call Tim Morris on 07739 716815 to find out more Windows Server Systems Administrator Home based This job was originally posted as
