Business Analyst - Contract 3 months initially but possibility to extend Based Milton Keynes, commutable from MK, Leighton Buzzard, Newport Pagnell commutable from most of Bucks, Buckinghamshire We have worked with this household name for nearly 10 years- it is a lovely team to join, and a client that we receive very positive feedback from people who we help secure a role there Either on a contract or Permanent basis The Job A new contract role has been created as a Business Analyst, based in Milton Keynes, within the Business Programme Management team. You will have a "can do" attitude with the mindset that all problems can be solved. In addition, you will be well presented and professional, an excellent communicator and client focussed. This role requires someone who is driven and dynamic with excellent, proven Business Analysis skills with solid experience in the insurance sector (FCA and PRA regulated). The successful candidate will take on the Business Analyst position on a variety of internal projects. Specific duties will include: Requirements gathering - We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst that can support, challenge and document the business requirements. A hands on and team based approach is required in this area including workshop facilitation. Experience of working on agile and waterfall projects would be beneficial. Process mapping - Facilitating process workshops and documentation of end to end process mapping. Effective influencer - You will positively promote your ideas and have the confidence in the quality of your analysis to be able to sell options and solutions to Senior Management. Supporting Project Sponsors in producing Business Cases. The Person This role requires an individual with the following skills and experience: Business analysis experience within the insurance sector (FCA and PRA regulated environment). A confident communicator with experience in dealing with stakeholders at all levels. Facilitation experience such as process workshops and brainstorming. Influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively independently and in teams. Ability to work under pressure and to time / quality deadlines. Skills required MS Office applications e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Visio or similar process modelling tool. Qualification in Business Analysis e.g. BCS Practitioner Level in Business Analysis. Stakeholder Management and Engagement. Process Modelling and Business Process Management. Experience of the insurance industry / London Insurance Market. MS Project Server experience / AN Other PPM tool. Project Management Qualification e.g. Prince2. Change Management Qualification e.g. APMG Change Management Practitioner.
