JOB ROLE: Interim Operations Manager HOURS: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week SALARY: £17.71-£20.24 per hour CULTURE: Charity/ Start up/ Technology LOCATION: West End, London START DATE: ASAP till middle of January Office Angels Oxford Street have an exciting position in a charity start up company based in the West End. They are looking for an Interim Operations Manager to start ASAP working till the middle of January. It an exciting opportunity for someone with previous operation manager experience who would like to work in a quirky start up Job Spec Ensure that all workings are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements Chalk out or improve operational systems, processes and best practises that guarantee organisational well-being Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure office efficiency Contribute towards the strategic and operational objectives Examine financial data/statements and utilise them to improve profitability Manage outsourced accounting functions and report on finances Manage cash flow Manage budget and re-forecasting Check, approve and keep track of payroll and invoices Negotiate with suppliers to get best rates Identify and implement cost savings where possible Keep track of all software and hardware, and find efficiencies where possible Process invoices and track the team's deliverables Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI's Recruit new members of the team and create job descriptions as required Cater to clients or personnel's concerns Prioritise and implement strategic decisions and initiatives Research and communicate insights on the market, competitors, and best practices Support with research, evaluation and implementation of commercialisation opportunities Build intelligent reporting to surface opportunities and operational issues Collect daily analytics across all products. Ensure blank templates for all contract types (employees, contractors, etc) are up-to-date and in line with any new policies Proof-read contracts for all new employees / contractors Manage data privacy and protection Identify, mitigate and manage risks across the business Manage summary risk assessment reports on charities Research, implement and manage outsourced moderation Take minutes and arrange coordinate / meetings Requirements Proven work experience as operations manager Adequate knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management Budget development and oversight experience Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting and metrics Very competent with IT especially with the MS office suite Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation Leadership and organisational skills Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Able to thrive in fast-paced, constantly changing work environment Worked at a start-up, or understands start up culture and be comfortable with it BS degree in operations management or related field or substantial related experience within this area.
