Fully or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA What does this Management Accountant role involve? Working in a small finance team, this role is a classic Management Accountant position , responsible for producing all aspects of the monthly Management Accounts for a fast paced Hospitality business whilst supporting both the Head of Finance and the operational management team with reporting and analysis. This is a challenging role where you will have the chance to improve internal processes and make suggestions that could change the day-to-day running of the department. You will be responsible for all issues relating to financial control ensuring maximum profitability of activities and providing the financial, commercial and operational support and focus to the business to achieve growth. Reporting to the Head of Finance your responsibilities will include; ensuring the accurate and timely production of financial reports and management accounts, acting on any key variances. You will be managing the production of the annual budgets and providing regular forecast updates. You will be confident with the monthly Management Accounts process and your experience will encompass calculating and posting sales cost accruals, analysis of margin by product group, investigation of variances to targets and aiding in the writing of commentary. You are expert at reporting on the sales and margin by customer and product group and the reconciliation of accruals and prepayment accounts. What skills and personal qualities do I need? The ability to deal with a multitude of stakeholders in a culturally sensitive manner will be critical to your success. Previous involvement in all aspects of preparing full management accounts, commercial analysis and stock management is critical. Strong IT skills essential, in particular Excel and accounting software, knowledge of Sage would be an advantage. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interrogate and consolidate data from different sources. Ability to use initiative and work pro-actively with strong problem solving skills Fully or part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA You are highly numerate with strong organizational capability and able to build and maintain strong relationships with other teams delivering high levels of customer service. You enjoy being a team player and you have a flexible and pro-active approach to work, naturally results orientated & driven you combine accuracy with flexibility to adapt quickly.
