How does SEO Manager sound as your next job title? A buzzy and dynamic independent digital agency based in the heart of the city is looking for an SEO Manager to join an outgoing and committed international marketing team. As SEO Manager, you will get stuck in and work across several interesting client accounts whilst helping to contribute to the company’s wider SEO strategies. This is a great opportunity if you are tech-savvy and have great people skills as the SEO Manager will be expected to take charge of their own enthusiastic team of SEO Executives. Don’t worry, they won’t bite Role and Responsibilities As SEO Manager, your main responsibilities and duties will include: •Managing a team of SEO Executives & Interns (overseeing their tasks, workloads, training, knowledge and career progression) •Using in depth SEO knowledge to devise and oversee SEO strategy for client sites •Proactively monitoring and reporting back on performance of SEO initiatives •Being at the forefront of client communication and managing the client relationship •Attending and contributing heavily to client meetings •Presenting complex information in a digestible and compelling format •Contributing to the company’s wider SEO offering and pushing the company’s reputation in terms of its unique SEO expertise •You will be responsible for contributing to new client pitches, as well as upselling to current clients Experience and Skills The successful SEO Manager will have the following attributes: •At least 3 years hands on SEO experience, preferably with agency-side experience •Excellent knowledge of various search engine’s best practices (Google, Bing, Baidu etc.) •Strong knowledge and experience working with various Analytics packages (Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics etc.) •Excellent understanding and experience using various third party SEO analysis tools (i.e. Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic etc.) •Good working knowledge of HTML & JavaScript for SEO – basic writing and reading •Advanced Excel skills •Excellent management, able to set and keep deadlines, as well as able to manage a number of SEO junior executives •A confident presenter who comes across well in client meetings/pitches/general communication •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal •Bachelor degree required, 2.1 and above preferred •Solid understanding of all other online and offline channels (display, affiliates, social, print, TV, email) and their effects on SEO This job was originally posted as
