Operations Manager Our client is an established food manufacturing business who is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take a lead on ensuring the effective and efficient running of all production department areas. With key responsibility for Safety, Hygiene, Quality, Quantity, and Cost (SHQQC). To manage, coach, communicate and develop their direct reports to achieve the day to day running of the business and have a handle on short, medium and long term planning. This role would suit a forward-thinking operational manager who brings manufacturing knowledge, commercial savvy, planning and people skills to the table. Key areas of responsibility: Inputs, understands and translates the business strategy into a live plan, which is clearly understood and owned by the production teams. To ensure that a safe working environment exists for the employees in the factory and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the HSE Policy. Ensures the highest quality and food safety standards are embedded throughout the factory appropriate to a quality food manufacturer. Creates a factory environment where individuals feel able to continually challenge the status quo, embrace change consistent with the company values and encouraged to make decisions in driving continuous improvement. Manages and maintains control over people, projects and processes so as to achieve or exceed expected department performance results. Plan, organise and measure resources to ensure that targets for production are met within set parameters. GENERAL Commit to continuing education if appropriate, inclusive of updating knowledge from external communications to ensure awareness of all changes that may impact on the role. Maintain good housekeeping, comply with and promote Company Food Hygiene and Environmental policies and ensure the Company operates in compliance with BRC standards, assisting with BRC audit preparation as required Observe and promote Company Health and Safety Policy and safe working practices at all times Observe company security policy, report all suspicious incidents to Factory Management Office Angels is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
