Electrical Maintenance Engineer role, in Colne offering around £26,000 dependant on shifts Your new company Our client is a leading upholstery manufacturer in Colne. The company supplies to industries such as the automotive, healthcare, marine and many more. Due to growth they are looking to take on an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. Your new role You'll carry out a range of installation and maintenance work in line with relevant IEE and British standards, to an agreed work schedule. You'll have experience with electrical fault finding, testing and rectification as part of both planned and reactive maintenance. You'll be working to and understanding electrical drawings i.e. installation, circuit diagrams and line schematics. You'll be able to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures. You'll install and maintain three phase and single phase control gear for motors, pumps, fans and continuous production plant equipment. What you'll need to succeed You'll have previous experience working in an manufacturing environment. You'll have working knowledge and understanding of all relevant British Standards. You'll be qualified to at least City and Guilds level or equivalent under a modern apprenticeship. You'll ideally be qualified to BTEC, NC, or HNC level or equivalent (or willing to study towards). You'll have experience of AC and DC drives and PLC control preferred. You'll ideally hold 17th Edition Certification. You'll be computer literate and an effective communicator. What you'll get in return You will receive a competitive shift salary with additional rates and allowances for overtime, on average £26,000 per annum. You will have the chance to progress quite quickly with additional funding support towards qualifications, which will lead to an increase in your remuneration. You'll have the full support and guidance from your Supervisor whilst you find your feet.
