A market leader within the Infrastructure Services sector are searching for a DevOps Engineer to join their growing team. We are searching for technically astute candidates who are able to collaborate with all technical teams to deliver a secure, resilient and high availability environment. Key Responsibilities Participate in the change projects, from an operational perspective, plan and build operational capability for both the current and future environments. Problem solve complex integration issues and implement automation for production and development Develop and implement highly scalable applications and environments which can adapt to changing requirements Assist in the integration of DevOps into the business through collaborative working with both development and operations teams Work to help refine delivery methods to facilitate DevOps capabilities through agile methodologies Participate and contribute to service and operational improvement programmes Work closely with the suppliers and systems integration partners to manage escalations and problem resolution, specifically with the application support team Keep your knowledge up to date in a fast moving and evolving cloud computing solutions Ensure the infrastructure is secure; manage data and systems availability, access control and service continuity to agreed standards that stand up to audit scrutiny Develop proof of concept solutions to demonstrate improvement and optimisation Key Skills Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Deep understanding of storage, servers, virtualisation, networks, security, end user computing back end infrastructure Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile. Ability to manage supplier performance and obligations A technical background with qualifications with VMware, storage solutions such as EMC, NetApp and Cisco virtual networks Deep understanding of Amazon Web Services, how they are optimised and utilised to deliver success ITIL awareness, programme and project management and how DevOps can enhance and facilitate a better IT delivery model Strong experience essential in automated environment provision and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible or Puppet. Strong experience in software packaging and dependency/version management Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Tooling (Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonatype Nexus, JUnit, Liquibase, Sonarqube, Docker) Knowledge of Automated Infrastructure Build and Provisioning Tooling (Jenkins, MCollective, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, RPM, Git/Stash, VMWare vCloud, AWS, Terraform, Docker Swarm/Kubernetes and Rancher) Knowledge of Environment/Service Management Tooling (OpenLDAP & phpLDAPAdmin, ssh daemon, Apache httpd, Squid, NTP, DNS, PostFix, Puppet & Ansible, Zabbix, Security Incident & Event monitoring, OpenVPN, Password Manager Pro, LogStash, Kibana and ElasticSearch).
