Ecommerce C# .NET Developer - MVC, Web API, Agile, TDD - Warwickshire A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full stack C# .NET Web Developer to join a marketing leading eCommerce company with offices based in Warwickshire and throughout the UK. The client has a number of high profile websites which are built and supported on the popular EPiServer content management system (CMS). You will be joining a newly created in house web eCommerce team who are tasked with supporting and further developing these websites in conjunction with third party digital agencies. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your colleagues/agencies into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well. Projects will be varied in size and complexity. You will mostly be working within the EPiServer CMS platform, however the client also host and maintain a number of Web APIs, WCF services, Umbraco websites and console applications which you will be supporting. You will have strong problem solving skills and be able to deliver simple solutions to complex problems. Required skills Proficient knowledge of .NET v2-4.5 C#6 Strong demonstrable experience of MVC and Web API Experience of using Entity Framework to read and manipulate data Experience of EPiServer preferred but not required Strong understanding of Nuget Understanding and utilising SOLID design principles Understanding and utilising Unit Tests to provide automated testing Understanding of security principles and OWASP recommendations Knowledge of .NET Core preferred but not required Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processors, specifically SASS User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system Management of hosting environment, including IIS, SQL database administration and scaling an application to support load changes Knowledge of Azure services preferred but not required Data migration, transformation, and scripting Outputting data in different formats Creating SQL database schemas that represent and support business processes Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, specifically Git & TFS Strong decision making skills and the ability to make recommendations where necessary This is an immediate permanent requirement with interviews slots available from Monday 17th October.
